Top Cryptocurrency Apps Performance in the Middle East: Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the Middle East saw notable trends in the performance of leading cryptocurrency apps. Here, we analyze the top 5 apps in terms of downloads and active users based on data from Sensor Tower.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto experienced a significant fluctuation in weekly downloads. Starting at around 38.6K downloads at the end of September, the numbers dipped to 27.1K by late October. However, a resurgence was observed in December, with downloads peaking at approximately 73.9K. Active users mirrored this trend, increasing from around 1.1M to over 1.5M mid-quarter before settling at 1.4M by the end of December.

Pi Network showed a consistent rise in downloads, starting at 8.7K and reaching 25.1K by early December. This growth paralleled an increase in active users, which climbed steadily from 165.6K to over 254.8K by the end of the quarter.

OKX: Buy Bitcoin BTC & Crypto saw a varied pattern in downloads, beginning with 11.8K and experiencing fluctuations throughout the quarter, ultimately reaching 10.3K by the end of December. Active users grew from 80.6K to 93.8K over the same period.

Bybit: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto showed a notable increase in downloads from 5.2K in early October to a high of 16.5K in early December. Active users increased from 94.4K to 112.6K in early December before a slight decline to 97.3K by the end of the year.

Phantom - Crypto Wallet experienced a sharp rise in downloads, particularly in November and December, with numbers growing from 2.7K to 22.4K by mid-December. Active users also increased from 42.6K to 83.6K during the quarter.
